I haven’t felt so triumphant since 12 years ago, back when 486 systems reigned supreme and I was playing ---&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;--- Command &amp;amp; Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, the. The hardware, a dedicated physics card (much like a separate sound card, only this one calculated physics, not audio) didn’t do so well, considering that enhanced physics didn’t produce game altering changes back in the early part of the decade. In 2008, Nvidia acquired Ageia, fusing the innovative physics technology with their video cards. Ageia might not have survived the decade, but their legacy, the hardware and the middleware PhysX, continues to live on in several games.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;One of these is Warmonger: Downtown Destruction, a game developed by NetDevil. Now released as a downloadable free PC FPS game, Warmonger was made to fully integrate physics-related gimmicks into its multiplayer-centric gameplay. I couldn’t find any information on how Warmonger found its way into Nvidia’s downloadable Graphics Plus Power Packs but the free PC FPS multiplayer shooter now acts as the flagship of the bunch of freebies, giving players the whole nine yards of what it feels like to have a physics-intensive game.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Being a PhysX-centric game, when it comes to physics effects, Warmonger delivers in spades. The game is riddled with elements that flagrantly announce it to be a PhysX game. You turn a corner, a banner blocks your way, undulating and flapping in the breeze. You brush it aside and find yourself in an open area, cinders floating past you in a realistic manner as you run towards the sound of a firefight. You arrive at the scene and hastily take cover behind a concrete barrier as a hostile opens up with his chaingun. The concrete cover you ran from breaks apart in chunks. You take a bead, alt-fire, and launch a grenade. The thing sticks on the chaingunner. He runs towards you, in a desperate attempt to take you with him but blows apart several feet away, chunks of meat flying in all directions. I have listened to feedback about the current site and had more inspiration for it. This update includes some major tidying up of code. This meant hours of trawling though finding errors useless code and also rewriting the CSS page. But as you can see the update has been rolled out and the site looks better than ever.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The next step is the look out for bugs and fix them (I already have a list of bugs to fix).&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Changes Summery:&lt;br/&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;New revised design to improve the overall quality feel of the site&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;Major coding overhaul to improve performance and make my life easier&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;Revised categories&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt; More Patches&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;More free MMORPG games (Suggestions welcome)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;Removal of the wibiya bar&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;Improved Ad placements&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br/&gt;There are still items to complete, these include:&lt;br/&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;New file search&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;Repair RSS (GGRRRR keeps breaking)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;Integrating Google friend connect (specifically the review widget)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;New download and editors pick buttons&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;Lots of random fixes&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;	&lt;li&gt;Improved blog theme&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Once these last additions are done and the bugs fixed that should be it for the site design. This basically means that Unreal 3 Mods can now be played without the need to own a copy for Unreal Tournament 3 effectively turning these mods in to there own game. All that is required is for the developers of the mods to start using the UDK.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;There are already a couple of titles released using the UDK and will be uploaded to GamStand soon. However MekTek have released there distribution software MekTek X for public beta which will be the platform for Mech Warrior 4 and other Mech Warrior games. Released with MekTek X  is AssaultTech1: BattleTech &lt;span&gt;a classic Mechwarrior2 remake. It currently only has an offline instant action mode that gives you the basics of the game. However online play will be available some time in the future. Playing it last night was fun once i figured out the controls and gave me a taste for more future Mech Warrior updates and releases. While I've no problem with sprite-based games, the fact that this one doesn't offer base-building left me kind of puzzled as to what it can offer to players. I mean a 2D real-time strategy game without base building? Maybe this game died and rotted under the sun as soon as it saw the light of day, I thought. Nevertheless, I still downloaded the game because of three reasons (one of which---hands down---dominates the other two):&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;1. It's part of the Battletech-MechWarrior franchise.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;2. It's free!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;3. It features a generous bird's-eye view of a MechWarrior's&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt; sweat-covered cleavage&lt;/span&gt;. &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;In a full motion video. While she's in a cockpit, driving her thang&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;MechCommander Gold is actually two games in one: the original MechCommander, and the "Desperate Measures" expansion. The original game has been tweaked, with it having several new features.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;If my meager knowledge of Battletech/MechWarrior lore is accurate, the&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;img class="alignright" title="Gold Gameplay" src="http://i38.tinypic.com/17cxw6.jpg" alt="" width="384" height="288" /&gt;downloadable full version Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game transpires during 3060 when a massive Inner Sphere task force invaded the Smoke Jaguar's homeworld. (The game begins with an FMV that flashes the caption "The counterattack begins.")&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;What I like best about this game though is that it has taken what has made Battletech so popular --- the ability to tweak your Battlemechs. In this game, you can outfit your mechs with a wide range of short-, medium-, and long-range weaponry that encompass energy- and projectile-based armaments. This will be  devoted to informing you all how to site is developing and any changes to the site.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;As you may of already seen there have been a few layout alterations. Firstly I have been reviewing and experimenting with advert placement. This has meant a few changes to the details page. I have removed underperfoming adverts and streamlined the details page and advertising on it.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;A few changes to the tables and related videos on the site have been polished. I have plans to add related images and a full media section sometime in the future&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Category navigation has been fixed so you can now correctly browse the site&lt;br/&gt;e.g Home » Free Games » Real Time Stratagy » MechCommander 2&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Other future plans include adding a tab at the top of a game details page to improve navigation of game descriptions and game media. Dynamic&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;world shadows using shadowmaps.  This was something in the works for a while but didn't make it into 7.31.
